Welcome to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Faith Formation

Our Faith Formation PSR (Parish School of Religion) is under direction of

Fr. Bill Melancon (DRE) and Fr. Korey Lavergne (Confirmation Instructor and Assistant to All).  

Coordinators are Peggy Tauzin(1st-10th, RCIA, SEC and Adult Instruction and

Anna Breaux(1st-10th, First Reconciliation and First Communion).

       Our Sunday Visitor Series,

Catechism of the Catholic Church,    

Formed (Please call the Parish Life Center for the Parish Code),

New American Bible

and USCCB.

First Grade to Tenth Grade PSR (Parish School of Religion Classes)

  • Sessions will be held on Sunday mornings at 9:00am to 10:45am
  • First class will be Sunday, September 9th at 9:00 am ( Parents Meeting and     Family Catechesis this day with breakfast being served.)
  • Students are required to attend all sessions. If unable to attend a session they  will be required to do makeup work.
  • Students are required to attend activities for OLPH at other locations such as Pro Life March, Living Rosary and Diocesan Youth Fest.
  • Students who cannot meet class schedule may go HOMEBOUND  with test date appointments.


RCIA, The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults


Interested in becoming a Catholic?

Any adult, teen or older child (above seven years of age) who has never been baptized

and would like to enter the RCIA process in order to begin the journey in preparation for the

Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist), please call the Parish Office,337-365-5481 to express your interest.

Your name, address and phone number will be taken so that Peggy Tauzin

can schedule an interview with you. She will further explain the details of the RCIA process.


Adult Catholics for First Eucharist or Confirmation:

If you are an adult Catholic who was baptized and for some reason never completed your

Sacrament of Initiation (First Eucharist and/or Confirmation), you are invited into a process to help make that happen.

so Peggy can schedule an initial interview with you.
